At Highway, everything we do flows from a clear vision: Get them saved, build them for eternity.
We exist to see lives transformed by the love of Jesus, built up in purpose, and restored through His presence. As a family church with a mission’s heart, we’re reaching thousands across generations and locations—locally and globally.
Grounded in the Word and empowered by the Spirit, we’re building something that lasts. Our values—Worship, Connect, Serve, Grow, and Reach—shape the culture of who we are and how we do it.
Wherever you’re at on the journey, there’s a place for you here—you’re invited to make Highway home.
Ps Byron and Ps Anne Graham pioneered Highway in 1995. They have seen our church grow from a small school classroom to a thriving community spanning across three locations.
They are passionate about seeing individuals and families transformed and set free through a personal relationship with Jesus, and are devoted to seeing God's promise over this house fulfilled.
We are a Pentecostal Church, and part of the Australian Christian Churches (ACC) Movement. We hold to the core beliefs of the Christian faith, as revealed in the Bible and fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.
We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives. We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the ‘new birth’ we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.
We believe in the importance of water baptism because Jesus modelled it, and commanded his disciples be baptised (Matt 28:18-20). Water baptism symbolises a believer's commitment to Jesus and His teachings, and is an outward act of confessing our faith in Him. We believe that baptism is essential to Christian discipleship, and it is a powerful way to proclaim our allegiance to Jesus.
We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is the third person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit helps us to understand the Bible, and helps us to live out its teachings in our lives. We believe that when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, the Holy Spirit is deposited in our hearts, assuring us of our salvation. The Holy Spirit is with us always, faithfully guiding us in our walk with God, and granting us gifts such as wisdom, knowledge, understanding, healing, miracles, tongues, and prophecy so that we can be used to serve God and spread His love.
We believe that speaking in tongues is the initial evidence of baptism in the Holy Spirit and that we can experience this today, just as the biblical record outlines in Acts 2:1-4.
We believe in the power of prayer, both individually and corporately, as an expression of faith in God's work in our lives. Prayer is an essential part of a Christian life and is used to talk to God and to communicate with Him. We pray for guidance, strength, healing, protection, and for our families, friends, and community. Through prayer, we seek to deepen our understanding of God's will and His plans for our lives. Praying helps us grow closer to God and to gain a better understanding of His will and how we can best serve Him. When we pray, we open ourselves up to God and He will answer us in His own way and in His own time. We believe that prayer changes things and is a powerful way to communicate with our Heavenly Father and to seek His love and guidance.
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our every day lives.
We believe that the Church is a holy assembly of believers, united in faith and love. We strive to be a community of believers who are united in our faith in Jesus Christ and in our commitment to serve Him and His kingdom. We are committed to loving God and loving others, and to be known for our love for one another. We believe that the Church is a body of believers who are called to serve and to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to all people. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we seek to be faithful disciples of Jesus and to follow His teachings. We strive to live out our faith through loving actions and service to our community and the world.
Our values shape the culture of Highway—they reflect who we are, how we live, and what matters most as we follow Jesus together.
We believe that worship is putting God first in every area of our life. We value an atmosphere where people both individually and corporately can encounter the presence of God. We encourage believers to weekly come together to give an extravagant expression of worship to God.
We believe that God has designed us to have a relationship with Him and with others. By building community and meeting together regularly, we find encouragement and support and enjoy genuine friendships. We create an environment for all to develop into their fullest potential in God.
We believe serving one another is an outward expression resulting from a personal relationship with God. We are all created with unique gifts and abilities to contribute to the community of the church. We encourage every believer to play their part and serve with humility following Christ’s example.
We believe growth in God is a personal choice. Growing is a journey of understanding God, spiritual maturity, enlarging capacity and ultimately inspiring others to grow.
We believe all people matter to God, and therefore, they matter to us. We endeavor to carry the message of God’s love in practical ways to all people within our reach, both in our local community and globally.
