UPDATE regarding Highway Gatherings (On and Offsite)

As of 23 March 2020, all Highway Church venues are effectively closed in adherence to the new regulations put in place by Prime Minister, Scott Morrison.

Highway locations in Ormeau and Gilston will ONLY be open to immediate staff and those specifically rostered to prepare live stream services. This helps us to ensure that we abide fully to the precautions set out by the government.

Previously, it was appropriate to invite very small amounts of people to your homes to experience online church together. However, this has now changed and we do not encourage you to open your homes nor do we ask you to host any Highway gatherings, meetings or social events. Furthermore, ALL department have been asked to suspend all planned events until further notice (this includes offsite activities).

Highway Church is committed to keeping informed and up to date with what is being asked of us by the professionals in their field. We must do what we can to fully support every regulation that has been put in place, as we try to flatten the curve of COVID19 and protect those in our community who are most at risk.

In saying this, it is a timely reminder that we are indeed the Church! As the Church, there are a number of things we can still be doing to bring hope to the world around us.

Together we can:

·PRAY – We can pray for peace, protection and provision over all people.

·STAY IN TOUCH WITH PEOPLE - We can call, text, email and engage on social media with each other.

·TITHE - We can tithe through our online and phone facilities throughout the week.

Look after your families during this time, trust in our faithful God and please stay in touch as we learn to navigate this next season together. If you are struggling or in need, please make contact, as we are here to pray and offer support.
