“I have come that they may have life, and life to the full.”
Do you ever marvel at massive trees and how they started with a tiny seed? At a beautiful rose that unfolds from a thorny stick? Everywhere we look, there is evidence of continual life, growth, and beauty.
I love the chorus of a Matt Redman song, “We’re breathing the breath that He gave us to breathe, to worship Him.” It brings the perspective that we are physically and, if born again, spiritually alive because of Jesus. It draws me to my knees in awe of Him.
He is the life-giver, to the extent of even laying down His own. Through Jesus, the heavens and earth were created, and He desires to bring life-breath, growth, and beauty to any dead and barren places you may have. Just ask Him.
Humanity craves life. Most are unaware they actually crave Jesus. In fact, everything on this earth pursues the life-giver, Jesus. We read in Luke 19:40 that if we don’t worship Him, even the rocks will cry out in praise.
Thank you, Jesus, for being The Life I need in every part of my being. Because of You, I live.
