“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him.”
Can you imagine the crowds’ excitement when they saw Jesus’ riding on a donkey into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday? They heard him preach that He would set the captives free, which in their understanding was from the Roman oppression. They saw and heard about Jesus healing people and forgiving them for what they had done wrong. They did not expect Him to be crucified on a Cross to bring them freedom.
It is hard to comprehend that Jesus would willingly lay down His life to bridge the gap between God and people. By Jesus’s death and resurrection, we can come into a personal relationship with God and get to know Him as our Heavenly Father. When we accept what Jesus has done for us, we can have confidence that we will spend eternity in peace and love.
I pray that you will accept what Jesus has done for you and that you can experience God’s eternal love for you.
