We are co-ordinating a response to the current flooding crisis by gathering volunteers to help with:
• Cleanup for flood-affected homes in the Eagleby /Alberton area.
• A Free BBQ lunch in the locations we visit for residents, emergency services and volunteers.
• Supplying clean drinking water for affected residents.
Teams will be heading out this week on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Thursday & Friday: Meeting 9am at Highway Ormeau
Saturday: Meeting 8am at Highway Ormeau
Volunteers will need to wear protective clothing (hat, sunscreen, insect repellant etc.) and be prepared to get wet/dirty.
If you can, please bring the following:
Old rags or towels, brooms, shovels, gloves.
Any gurneys or generators would also be helpful.
We will take donations of water and food for the BBQ.
No other donations are being collected at Highway at this stage.
