21 Days of Prayer & Fasting
Monday February 10 - Sunday March 2
As we celebrate all that God has done in and through Highway Church over the last 30 years, we are confident that he is still moving and that we will see even greater things in this next season.

You are invited to join us for a 21-day fast as we make time and space to intentionally thank the Lord for what he has done and bring our faith-filled requests for our future.
On this page, you will find information and resources about fasting to help you understand more about this spiritual discipline and how to implement it for yourself.

"The Fasting Practice" by John Mark Comer is a comprehensive series of 4 teaching videos with a companion guide that will train you in this ancient discipline, integrating your whole body into life with God.

Fasting is an invitation to worship the Lord, deepen your relationship with him, and move the heart of God on behalf of others.

Fasting is traditionally abstaining from food but it can take many forms, and for a 21-day fast, we recommend a 'Daniel Fast'. You can find out how to do a Daniel Fast here.

If the Daniel Fast is not for you, there are other options for fasting. Check out this article that explores a range of fasting options here.
Prayer
Through fasting, we replace our meal time with prayer, reading scripture and focusing on God.

Join us in prayer during the three weeks over these specific areas:

Week 1:
Spend time in worship and gratitude towards God.
Seek him about the areas of your life where you need to be more like Jesus.
Pray for your family, friends, colleagues and other people in your sphere of influence.
Pray for opportunities to be like Jesus in your day.

Week 2:
Spend time in worship and gratitude towards God.
Seek him about how you can uniquely be of service to our church community.
Pray for the growth of our congregation, leaders and pastors.
Pray for opportunities for our church to continue sharing the good news of Jesus.

Week 3:
Spend time in worship and gratitude towards God.
Seek him about how you can uniquely be of service to your community.
Pray for God to restore lives in our community and draw people to him.
Pray for the global and persecuted church, that they would know and
continue to walk in the blessing, favour and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
