"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him."
Eternal life isn’t something that we live for someday, it’s something we step into today! Jesus came so that you could have a life of freedom and fulfilment knowing that your past is forgiven. Saying ‘yes’ to Jesus is not about measuring up to the standard of God (we could never do that). Saying ‘yes’ to Jesus is about coming to the realisation of your need for a saviour. The message of Jesus is one that empowers you to live free from condemnation and mediocrity no matter your situation or circumstance.
Jesus paid the price for your sin (past, present and future) when He died upon the cross. Jesus paved the way for your life when He rose on the third day. This is your moment to come in recognition of what He has done for you.
Romans 10:9 says:
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
If you are not sure whether you are right with God or you know in fact that you need Jesus in your life, you can choose to follow Him right now by praying a prayer of surrender. Here’s one you can pray right now…
Dear Jesus,
Today I choose to say ‘yes’ to your purpose and plan for my life. Please forgive me for my mistakes and cover me with your mercy and grace. I believe that you died and rose again so that I could be in relationship with you. Thank you for accepting me as I am, today I choose to follow your ways and trust you with my future.
In Jesus name, Amen.
